Electronic Federal Aviation Administration Accelerated and Simplified Tasks (eFAST)
eFAST is the FAA's preferred contracting vehicle for small business contracts. eFAST streamlines the procurement process for all stakeholders using a web-based acquisition tool and automated workflows that are compliant with FAA standards. eFAST supports the following contract types: Firm-Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, Time and Materials, Labor Hour and others as appropriate. Functional areas are support service categories used in eFAST acquisitions. Functional areas include Air Transportation Support, Business Administration & Management, Research & Development, Computer/Information Systems Development, Computer Systems Support, Documentation & Training, Engineering Services, and Maintenance & Repair. Any FAA Program Management Office and Contracting Officer can use eFAST. Small businesses may participate only after receiving an Master Ordering Agreement (MOA) award during an eFAST Open Season.
Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies Program (SAVES)
SAVES contracts provide the FAA with a simplified process for obtaining commonly used products and services at prices associated with volume buying, while maintaining or improving the quality of purchases and vendors’ service levels. Categories included under SAVES: Office essentials; office equipment; delivery services; information technology hardware and software; janitorial and sanitation services; maintenance, repairs and operations; and aircraft navigational charting services. SAVES contracts are mandatory as outlined in AMS Procurement Guidance T3.8.6 and AMS Policy 3.8.6.
