On Wednesday, December 12th, 2018, the FAA participated in the United States Department of Transportation's (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), Small Business Matchmaking event. This vendor networking event was held at DOT Headquarters in Washington, DC, and had approximately 300 small businesses in attendance. DOT Small Business Specialists, Prime Contractors, and state and local transportation agency representatives met one-on-one with small business owners seeking contract opportunities. The matchmaking event format featured 10-minute meetings by appointment only. Agency representatives and small businesses were matched for these meetings using NAIC codes specific to our Agency’s interest, so these matchmaking sessions were strategic and mutually beneficial.
