INTERIM CHANGES TO AMS – Requiring Veteran Small Business Certification Program (VetCert) Certification for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses

December 21, 2023

On January 26, 2023, the FAA posted an FAE Memo that added an interim change to the Acquisition Management System (AMS), to allow FAA Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors that utilize SDVOSB acquisition under the AMS to be eligible through self-certification via a 1-year grace period, which ends December 31, 2023. This was to allow time for the transitioning the certification program from the Veteran Affairs (VA) Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) to the certification program under the Small Business Administration (SBA).  For additional details, Visit FAST.faa.gov, under the document named “FAE Memo Interim AMS Changes to SDVOSB Certification Requirements”.

On December 15, 2023, FAE Memo – INTERIM CHANGES TO AMS – Requiring Veteran Small Business Certification Program (VetCert) Certification for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses was signed, updating the SDVOSB certification process as of January 1, 2024, to include the SBA’s Veteran Small Business Certification Program (VetCert) for SDVOSB eligibility verification.  Please visit FAST.faa.gov for future interim AMS postings.
