The FAA Small Business Program Office participated in an Agency Partner Day hosted by Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) on August 2, 2021. This virtual event provided information to the members about how to do business with the federal agencies, and how to find fiscal year-end opportunities. Approximately 50 WIPP members attended the webinar which included Small Business Professionals and Contracting Representatives from a variety of federal agencies. Following the event, the capabilities statements from all vendor attendees was provided to Agency participants.
WIPP is a national nonpartisan organization advocating on behalf of women entrepreneurs—strengthening their impact on our nation’s public policy, creating economic opportunities, and forging alliances with other business organizations. Since its inception in June of 2001, WIPP has reviewed and provided input on a broad range of legislation and/or policies such as leveling the playing field for women-owned businesses, opening up federal procurement policies for women-owned businesses, and the implementation of well-established federal law which seeks to encourage women in the marketplace.
